For the dogs.
I was gonna post about the Easter Show i went to yesterday when i realized the amount of pictures i took of dogs is more than one post can handle haha whoops. So i'll just blog about the four-legged furballs that took my heart away (because face it, they're more important in my books) and post about the carnival itself later.
After passing through ticket check, i heard the sound of dogs barking and my attention level just spiked in that direction. I am a HUGE dog lover so being unable to touch a dog for ages just makes me so very sad. I've already planned on having a husky family lol but i'd need tons of backyard space for them and until i can get my own place, well that'll just be a dream waiting to happen.
There was some dog competition going on and it was pretty exhilarating to watch. It was a tag-team competition in which the dogs have to jump over 4 hurdles, retrieve the ball, then jump back to their owners. And based on my observation, border collies are hell fast ey! You can see them all pumped before the buzzer starts and once their lead is released, they just bolt like lightning! I never knew such a sport existed so now i might train my (future) husky for this ;P
The fastest dog is that brown-white one and his owner is super cute *ahem.
And then lo and behold, i spotted the Dog Pavillion a couple of blocks down. I pretty much knew what dogs were on display that day since i already did my research. I was devastated when i found out that the huskies were on just a week before :( I was really hoping for another worthy husky picture but turns out all the dogs are barricaded off so even if i did see one, i wouldn't be able to actually sit next to it poo. So mean ok but i guess its cause the dog owners wouldn't wanna be harassed all the time either.
Okay i bet NO ONE has ever seen/heard about this breed before. My first thought was that it looked like those half dog-half human Egyptian creatures! It is literally hairless with only a small patch of hair on its head. For the curious minds, its called a
xoloitzcuintli (click to learn more).
The joy of touching a dog. I seriously didn't wanna leave lol.
Its so rare to find pedigree dogs so to see this many of each breed at one location is like whoa. Seeing the kind of bond each owner has with their dogs is so amazing because there's just so much love and respect. Another reason why i love dogs. Their loyalty far surpasses that of any human ;)
