Shine bright like a diamond.
Finding a place to eat on new year's eve is more of a quest than anything lol. We went to 2 different places but no luck as they were both closed. In the end, we resorted to using Urbanspoon to locate a decent one nearby and i have to say, it was yums good! So glad we stumbled upon that place. Possibly one of the best meals i had on that trip!
Haha Mel and i were saying how we kept bringing Marley for our shoots but leave piggy at home all alone. So this time i decided to bring him out on a joy ride :P Yes he travels with me.
Finding the colored bath-houses was rather tricky since its located right up the beach front so thank heavens for Google! It was crazy hot that day and my feet kept burning when i was in the sand. Lol so after every couple of shots we'd all run and take refuge in the shadows. Ridiculous to think that the aussies actually love being in the sun. (On an unrelated matter, that is probably why the rate of skin cancer is so high over here) :/
I kept laughing when i was taking this shot. Everyone in the background seems so perfectly aligned and each with their own pose. Looks just like a tv drama poster hahaha!
OH LORDY LORD FAT ARMS.
The only lens i can camwhore with haha. WIDE ANGLE FTW.
We were so happy when we finally got in the car, out of the heat. Went back home and oogled at our pictures more and when it was finally dinner time, we went to this restaurant over in Chinatown with Boonie's whole family. We went our separate ways after dinner though and onward to find a good spot to watch the fireworks. It was jammed pack in the city, which made me wonder how the scene was like back in Sydney.
We had 2 hours to spare so we actually started reminiscing on our past, and sharing stories we haven't told each other before. Mine felt more like a complaint to be honest hahaha. Yeah, not that proud of my past but hey, without it it wouldn't make me who i am today ;)

The fireworks were shot off really tall buildings and in a 360 angle. Couldn't exactly turn round and round lol so we just basically focused on one side. BUT i didn't bring my dslr cause i couldn't be bothered so yes, i was already mentally kicking myself at my ignorance. Bet my wide angle could've captured most of it yarr. Lesson learnt: it is better to be safe than sorry.
I couldn't have asked for anything better. Spending time with close friends and doing the things i loved, it made the end/start of the year so much more worthwhile. Looking forward to more great things to come :)
Oh oh and Mel's decided to come to Sydney for xmas and nye this year so fingers crossed everything works out! Plus, mucho thanks to the bestie for all his and his family's hospitality :D
