Oh goodness me, has it been that long? Well good news, my internet is finally up so i can now update more efficiently (unless i get sidetracked or lazy heh). You're prolly already getting bored of my Melbourne updates since its taking forever. Rest assured it is almost complete so yayy!
Melbourne's State Library is located smack right in the city. Pretty convenient spot too since RMIT and Melbourne U are just minutes away. We joked saying its the perfect place to go study and spy on guys haha. Killing two birds with one stone ;P The interior was like a clash of historic architecture, laden with walls of books in every topic you can find. The silence just seemed to echo throughout the entire room and initially, i was afraid to whip out my dslr cause you can literally hear the sound of the shutter even at a distance.
But of course that never stopped us. After all, no one's gonna remember us since we're just tourists hahaha. Don't have to show our faces there again, i always say ;)
We had our graffiti shoot all planned out but it did not go the way i wanted it to. Mainly cause there were too many people there so it was hard to get the right shots without anyone in the frame. Also cause the outfit i had planned out was a totally different one. I was supposed to rock it out in my spiked boots but since we were heading to another location, had to decide against that outfit.
Oh Cinderella you gangsta you!
Walked to Federation Square but didn't stay long. Took the tram down to Chapel St where we went back to the 80s and had lunch at Soda Rock Diner. It felt like we walked onto the set of Grease! With jukeboxes and the ever popular milkshakes, it was such a different atmosphere than what we were generally accustomed to.
Sakai people taking the tram lolol.
HAHAHA i don't want to be mean but OMG LOOK WHAT MY WIDE ANGLE DID TO BOONIE'S HEAD! it sucked his head and made it hugee!
The rest of the day was spent walking along the street and doing our little share of shopping. But turns out Boonie did the most shopping haha! It was actually fun to be the ones helping him instead of us being helped haha.
We also had plans to meet up with Ben that night. We haven't seen each other for maybe 2 years? Since we had a massive lunch (it was the thickshake that actually left us bloated), we just accompanied Ben for dinner then went to play pool. I so miss our usual pool seshs with the guys back home and its been forever since i played. Can't seem to find a decent pool parlour over here meh :/
Regrettably, it wasn't the best of nights as my emotions got the better of me. Keeping up bottled emotions is never a good thing. I dunno what came over me but i guess something in me just snapped. You see, the one thing i can't handle is when guys walk way ahead and leave me trailing far behind and like out of the picture. Some of my ex-es did that to me, so i obviously didn't expect that from my own bestie. I mean everyone has their own pet peeve and to me, that's my deal-breaker. It just makes me feel really unimportant and insignificant somehow. Yeah, call me crazy.
I know i shouldn't have but it was the silent treatment from me for the rest of the night. Was trying so hard not to break down in front of anyone. Top it off with alcohol and fuh, the running emotions! What a way to meet up with an old friend :(
Thankfully Mel was around so we talked it out and i felt a lot better. Was a bit embarrassed at how potentially ridiculous i sounded lol. And with a good night's rest, i was able to wake up feeling (slightly) better.
