Destination: melbourne.
Sorry guys! Been posting on the photography blog so much that i've neglected this one. Juggling between updating 2 blogs is really not that easy. The next couple of posts would be a lengthy one so brace yourselves. After that i just might go on a hiatus again haha (because i don't have a social life now that i'm working).
After years of procrastination and promises to visit Melbourne, i finally did it. Mel and i have been planning this trip in forever and when the time finally came for us to board our flights, we grew restless and just couldn't wait to touch down on Melbourne ground. I was flying off from Sydney and her, Perth, but we arranged our flights to arrive at about the same time.
We arrived on Christmas day itself and were staying at Boonie's place which was just minutes walk to the heart of the city. That day went by rather slowly as places were all closed so we just ended up chilling at his brother's place while waiting for barbeque dinner (which we pretty much overstuffed ourselves with meat and alcohol).
The view from Boonie's apartment.
On Boxing Day, we prepared ourselves for the battle against the crowds but surprisingly it wasn't much of a crowd to begin with. Shopping was rather disappointing eventhough i walked away with a blazer and ballet shoes. A girl can never have too much stuff ok haha.
Those are tram tracks in the middle. The thought of accidentally being rammed by one is so scary (cause they weigh about 30 rhinos) :/
How in the world..?
There was this store that was selling designer stuff and i'm pretty much regretting not getting that pair of Prada heels :( Its simple yet elegant and i can wear it with any outfit. Ugh to quote Boonie, "water gone under the bridge".
That night, we met up with Mel's friends for an over-stuffing German dinner over at Hofbrauhaus. And since i don't drink beer and wouldn't want another schnapps from previous experience lol, i opted for a cider that still made me red in the face. Thank you familia for your awesome blood circulation genes :P
This is actually a mix platter for two but it took 5 of us to finish it up. Crazyy.
