Yesterday was zoo day! I was initially supposed to go during my free week but i had period cramps so had to postpone. Then Li Ying said she wanted to go as well so yay, had someone to accompany me.
We had to take the ferry to get there but since we didn't get the zoo pass, we couldn't sit on the sky safari up to the main entrance :( Good thing though cause the lower entrance was nearer to the seal show and we managed to make it in time.
Was using the 35mm lens the whole time so pictures obviously didn't turn out that good since they were taken from far. Thinking to invest in a good zoom lens but i still prefer portraits and macro though. Meh. Chose the nicer pictures out of the limited ones i have to post here.
And then we watched the bird show. The backdrop was of the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. The animals there have like the best view! And they don't even need to pay rent lol. Couldn't take proper pictures of the bird show btw cause they were all just swooping by so fast!
These are 1 month old owls! The trainer said he doesn't normally take them out and this was the second time he's showed them to the public. They're so fluffy omg but all that fluff will disappear once their feathers grow out.
Hahaha this chimp damn cheeky wei! Kept poking the other's butt but neither seemed to mind :P
Its a tree kangaroo!
We left right at closing time so it was like 7 whole hours of walking in the zoo. My legs ached real bad after that but catching the ferry back at sunset was bliss.
Next weekend; Jazz festival at Manly with Jo :D
