Setting down new roots.

Its been exactly 2weeks now since i've been in Sydney and things are going good so far. I've been uh, eating and eating *cough cough* so these layers aren't going away for a while HAHA.

A few weeks ago, Laura brought me to The Star (previously known as Star City) for dessert after dinner. They renovated the place so there's food places under the casino now. We went to this place called Zumbo and they have limited seats so we had to wait for quite a bit.

They gave out free macarons while we were waiting mmn!
The desserts are on a train (like in Japanese restaurants) so you just pick whatever you want. Prices are based on the colour of the plates and they're actually really pricey. Not a place you want to go everyday.
The takeaway store was next door and they had this as deco! Just how cute is that!

We walked to Darling Harbour after that and it was packed with people drinking and clubbing. I felt really insecure cause it was just us two girls and there were those ang moh guys trying to hit on girls here and there. I'd feel so much safer with my bf around :( Also in Perth there's more Asians and they def won't bother you. So yeah, a little bit of mixed feelings there :/

P/s the next day we heard on the news that there was a fight there and people fell in the river and someone died O_O

Yummy mad burger Andrew made me for lunch.
My faithful companion :)

My auntie brought me into the city to have my bracelet adjusted. We were supposed to meet up her friend so while waiting, she brought me to the Lindt Chocolate Cafe >:D I initially just wanted macarons but my auntie suggested i ordered something to drink so i had their iced chocolate as well.

And right after i was done with that, her friend called and said to meet up for lunch. I was pretty bloated but lunch was at Jamie's Italian which is in fact Jamie Oliver's restaurant(!) and i just couldn't resist okay! Yaya, fatty alert lol :P

I had the entree-sized squid something pasta and it was a little too dry for my liking.
My aunt had the squid ink risotto and i fancied that a lot more.

And then last Saturday, the whole family brought me to eat Laos food, which is pretty much the same as Thai, in my opinion. I honestly can't tell the difference lol. We ordered a bit too much but the food was good. Spicy, but goood.

Fried ice-cream!
Another dessert, another day.

Aunt brought me to try out Portuguese food last Tuesday. Btw, random fact; did you know i'm part Portuguese? Lol through my great grandfather that is. So its just minimal in my genes but yeah, i'm still proud i have something else in my bloodline hahaha wtf.

We also had the Portuguese roast chicken but that's just pieces of normal looking chicken that i cbb to take pictures of.

And today, we went to this French-Italian type restaurant somewhere in the city called Sopra. Wanted to try their desserts too but i was too bloated by then.

Took away macarons from this store we saw otw to the carpark.

Uni starts on Monday and i'm sorta looking forward to it. I have to catch the train and bus there though cause i'm still living with my aunt. I've found a place that's just across the street from uni but i'll only be moving early March. I'm actually really excited cause its a new block of apartments and i got it at a steal price! Here's a sneak peek at it :)

Also, i got a part-time job at an accounting firm. Auntie's connections hehh. Had my first day of work on Wednesday and it went quite well. I was actually really nervous and couldn't sleep the entire night. My boss turned out really nice and i was sorta enjoying my work that time passed by really quickly lol. Now all i gotta do is manage between uni and work. Hope everything turns out good!

much love
