Roadtrip up north: Monkey Mia.

Okay, so the bad thing about writing this post late is that i might probably forget quite a lot of details about our trip. But let me refresh as much as i can aight :)

Day 1 of our roadtrip! Most of us stayed over Shereen's place the night before as we were due to head out at 5.30am the next day. Lol i wasn't used to sleeping that early and i had to resist tossing and turning in bed cause i was sharing it with 2 other girls.

We had to get an early start because Monkey Mia is actually 10hours away from Perth. Yes people, 10HOURS. Breakfast was at McDonalds because that was the only place that was open at that hour (unlike Malaysia where we can have kopitiams! haha).

We made a couple of stops along the way, mostly toilet-breaks and whenever we saw pretty flowers or nice potential backgrounds lol. Everything along the way gave me ideas for photoshoots! Ah, little creativity bone finally working its magic lolol.

So cute! Indication of the ladies' toilet. Women are also known as 'sheilas' in the Australian outbacks.

Okay so most of my photoshoot ideas didn't exactly work because we weren't wearing the right clothes and didn't have that much time at one spot.

It got pretty hot as we headed further up north. We'd been driving for hours with only little snacks here and there so when we finally found this quaint little cafe-ish place, we decided to have a light lunch. People out in the country are really friendly and often started chatting us up. That's what i like. Makes the trip even more enjoyable :)

After about another 2hrs, we finally reached Monkey Mia resort. The entrance itself made us all excited. There were cabanas on the beach! We were just in time to drop off our bags, freshen up a little and catch the sunset. There were all sorts of rooms but ours were military style haha! We didn't intend to spend that much money on accommodation (since we were only going to be sleeping there) so ours were the backpackers style with pretty comfy bunk beds.

We found a feather which = another sign lol ;P
10 people on the whole trip. Girl power! Makes it not malu to SS here and there ahaha.

We were actually supposed to drink that night but we had to do it outside at the public area cause no drinking was allowed in the rooms. It was quite chilly out and everyone was way beyond tired so in the end, we decided not to. I wanted to go stargazing too but the thought of lying down on the beach after already taking my shower and getting all sandy again made me change my mind. So in the end, we all just stayed in the room and girl-talked. Oh and most of the time, tembak Bowie hahaha! :P

That night, everyone drifted off into a deep sleep. I know this because no one heard Abrille's phone ring very loudly and long at idk what time except me and Winnie lol. Sign of everyone suffering extreme tiredness.

P/s Posting day 2 soon. Gives me a break (and an excuse) from studying ehehe :D
