So the day after i arrived KK, i flew off to Hong Kong. It was pretty rushed cause i hadn't really recovered from the previous flight. We only arrived HK at night and straightaway looked for dinner. After walking and exploring for a bit, we settled for this place and omg, had trouble communicating with the lady. Since none of us could speak Canto, we tried speaking Mandarin or English but the lady was really pissy. Ended up just walking and pointing at what we wanted lol.

Nearly everything was closing but i didn't see any interesting stores/malls which sorta disappointed me.

The next day, we took the train to Tsim Sha Tsui.

Instead of the typical metal scaffoldings, they use bamboo sticks for support.
Since we couldn't read the chinese menu, they gave us the english one which had pictures. Lol we felt like serious tourists eh.
We saw so many nice clothes in this mall but everything was like HKD500 and above. Eventhough our currency is bigger, that's still expensive sighs.
I finally found a Chanel store! They had the wallet i wanted but omfg it freaking costs RM2000 *dies. No money hello. And after looking inside, i don't really like it anymore. Haha at least i feel at ease now :)
Vietnamese for early dinner. The soup was somewhat tasteless and the rice paper roll was.. plain. Still loving Toto's in Perth ;)

We went back to the hotel after that and my mom and aunt decided to check out the Ladies Market which was like a train stop away from our place. I didn't really like it cause it was so hot and there was once we were just looking at a bag and the lady came and snatched it from us and yelled wtf. Yes, i prefer more civilised places thank you.

Lol i found this to be pretty gross. Racy lingerie. Took the photo before i realised it said 'no free photo' haha. Lucky no one told me off.

It was raining the next day and what better way than to have nice, hot porridge mmn. Well it was more to congee actually, since it was somewhat dilute. We had to buy umbrellas at one of the shops cause it was raining quite heavily.

We were going to Sha Tin so we had to take 2 separate train lines. And lol, when we were getting on the second train, my mom and my aunt were like walking so slumber behind until the door shut between us. Haha my mom freaked and told me to get off at the next stop through the closed doors. So i did. And i waited so long but they were a no show. Thankfully my aunt's phone had roaming so she called me and apparently they were already at Sha Tin -_- My mom ah, when i told her what she said she go and deny somemore. Haha and my aunt heard her ask me to get off at the next stop too. Mommy was trying to cover up!

I wanted to visit the heritage museum cause they were having the Pixar 25 years of animation exhibition. Haha we got lost a bit trying to find the way (cause this info guy gave us wrong info pfft) but we eventually went to this tourist booth at the bus station and they kindly showed us which bus to take.

Cameras weren't allowed at the exhibit so yeah, no pictures. It was really awesome cause they showed the sketches and moulds of the movies. Even my mom and aunt were impressed lol.
The Canto opera theatre.
Is this not cute? I straightaway thought of Kai when i saw this haha. I want something like this for my graduation, not those typical bear stuffies *hinting to parents ;D

The bus station was connected to a mall called New Town Plaza so we had vegetarian lunch there (which cost like HKD200+ for only 2 dishes wth) and then started shopping.

It was still early when we were done walking around that mall so i suggested we go to Citygate outlets which was a factory outlet mall but all the way in Lantau. We had to take 4 different train lines just to get there. Its near the airport and Disneyland btw. By the time we were done, my feet were aching so bad and my back ached cause i had to carry my dslr around. Times when i need the brother :P

Memories from the heritage museum. They had a special stamp to mark your visit there.

Couldn't be bothered to carry my dslr out the next day cause it was too heavy. We went to Causeway Bay and another disappointing day cause i didn't shop sighs. I wanted to get this Bobbi Brown lipgloss but they were sold out. Sho sad :(

Really good wantan noodles!
On the plus side, i managed to find cheap OPI! Only RM25 each!

I just stayed in the hotel that night while my mom and aunt explored places around our hotel. And guess what? They found H&M! I demanded to go there the next day lol. So after having breakfast, we checked out of our hotel and i went splurging! So ironic how i could only shop on the last day.

Oh and look, they call it Mannings haha. Exact same version of our Guardian.

The ride to the airport was really long till i fell asleep. And our flight back had turbulence and there was even an air pocket which i flew off my seat dammit! People were screaming, my mom was yelling at me to tighten my seatbelt. Gosh, i literally thought i was gonna die then. Most scariest few minutes of my life.

Overall, HK was just so-so. If it weren't for H&M i think i wouldn't have enjoyed at all lol. Not sure whether it was cause of the places we went or what but yeah, HK is not as cheap as its cut out to be. But it was definitely an experience for us; non-canto speaking people that took public transport all the way yo! Thinking of travelling to UK and Europe next lol if i got the money that is. I'll settle for Melbourne first, hopefully during my free week. I've got a 5day weekend this sem ;) Yayyers!

much love

x
