Sorry for the dying blog. I've been rather lazy to update lately hehh. It's either i'm out with the guys, family time, or playing Sims 3. Hahaha i just got Sims 3 from my brother a few days ago and i am addicted! Now i have another time filler when i go back to Perth lol.
My flight to Singapore was in the AMs but thankfully i had transport and good company. Colin arrived from Adelaide for his flight back to Malaysia so i got to see him and chat up a bit. Lol sorry i didn't tell you about my flight, otherwise we could have been on the same airlines and he didn't have to wait till 6am.
Oh and btw, i got frisk-searched LOL. Hahaha guess wearing an oversize top makes people think i could be hiding stuff in my clothes?

Thank you for taking the time to send me all the way to the airport Ah Yuan! :)Malaysia Airlines really has perked up their services. The airplane had different coloured seats which was pretty interesting. And instead of the usual introduction, where they teach you how to use the safety belts and all, they had a video showing how the passengers use them. That was the very first time i actually paid attention to that ey lol.
There were a lot of kids on that flight and one little girl even throwed up. Saw a couple of familiar faces from uni too haha.

The landing was awesome, i honestly didn't feel a thing. But KLIA was effed up. Their train wasn't working so we had to go all the way at the end, down to catch a shuttle bus to the next block. And it didn't help that my gate was all the way at the freaking end. I was carrying my extremely heavy laptop and my camera bag in my handbag which i had to keep taking out for scanning. It was insanneee! I hate travelling heavy ugh. My hands were seriously sore from carrying my bags.
And omg, the humidity in these countries! Perth may be hot but at least its not humid so i hardly ever sweat. In the process of lugging my bags and rushing to my gate, i sweated like crazy yech. My transit was only an hour so i had to rush, what with the train not working tsk.
The brother was already waiting at the airport (his flight arrived an hour earlier than me) with Edith who picked us up :) We couldn't check into our hotel yet so Edith brought us to "lau pa sa" for lunch.
Kueh chap. I can't remember how the topic went to eyebrows but we were commenting on how i had thick eyebrows so Edith made an appointment for me to go shape my eyebrows. She had a package with Browhaus so we went to the one at Paragon. That was the first time i tried threading my eyebrows. Didn't hurt as bad as having the lady attack them with the tweezers like i normally do back here. I think that's how i somehow became impervious to pain ahaha.
Oh oh and as i was walking along Orchard, i saw this stage set up for Se7en and we remembered that Cheryl was attending that concert. So we tried spotting her and there she was, right up front! Haha what a way to bump into each other.
I was meeting Cheryl up on the second day so my brother and i went to Ion's food court for breakfast. Omg their food were seriously overpriced. The portions were all so small and it was so not worth it. Wasn't that nice either. Disappointing.

Me and the hun walked all over Ion and Wisma Atria. I bought MNG shorts but that was it. Singapore's trend doesn't quite suit me ey. I think i still prefer Australia's :)
Went back to the hotel to chill a while before heading out to dinner. Edith took us for fine dining at The Prime Society. Nearly all the guests there were ang moh so it felt like we were back in Aussie haha. The waiters and waitresses were all so nice and friendly and the aura was so chilled and laid back.

This was really creative. They tell you the different parts of the cow and give random funny facts. Mine was about the cow, Edith's was the articoke, and my brother's was the fish.
My Wagyu steak. Omg i didn't know it cost SGD88 okay! My brother only told me until we reached KK. Apparently they purposely didn't wanna tell me cause they wanted me to try it and they knew i would hold back if i knew how much it costs. Now i feel so bad :(

It was quite hot out but i wanted to see the Singapore Flyer so Edith drove us there. We were kinda too late though so we didn't get a chance to sit on the flyer. After that, we went to another place that could overlook the Flyer and the Marina Bay Sands Hotel. There were a lot of people there flying lit-up kites which was so fun to look at. But yes, the heat got the best of us yet again.
The Singapore Flyer. Couldn't get a shot of the whole thing cause we were too close to it.
Marina Bay Sands Hotel.
During dinner, the brother and Edith surprised me with my early Christmas present. Can you believe they got me this?
A polaroid camera! So awesomee. On the third day, we went to Sushi Tei in Paragon for lunch. That place is the best Japanese restaurant EVER! Everything on the menu looked yumms good and everything we ordered was even better. Just look at the pictures and you'll understand ;)

Met up Boon Hee and Cheryl again :D We didn't know where else to go so we just ended up walking aimlessly and eating at Takashimaya's food court. Spend that time to catch up a bit. Then more shopping over at 313 Somerset.

Ahh, love.

Durian cendol at Wisma Atria's food court.Edith and Boon Hee had to leave for dinner. Yes, apparently they knew each other; family friends. Such a small, small world lol. We were supposed to join them for dinner too but we didn't cause the brother was plotting something hahaha. They joined us again after for drinks at Dempsey then we met up with Edith's friends at the hawker stalls in Newton Circus. I was already bloated by then to eat anything but the food was good.

The next morning, we packed up and checked out of our hotel. Had chicken rice for brunch which was mmmnn :) My back was somehow hurting though so we had to buy those Panadol pain relief patches and stick them on my back haha.

Sending us off to the airport was really a sad thing. I'm left for words on how to describe the hospitality that Edith gave us the whole time we were there. She came to see us everyday, taking us places and driving us around, even paying for those expensive meals :S That made the whole trip my awesome-est one ever! I don't know how to thank her enough. Hopefully i'll be able to repay the gesture one day :)
I still didn't get to see the Merlion though mehh.
