Mother nature at her worst.
The internet line is finally back up. Man, yesterday was a total disaster over here in Perth. There were lightning storms, hailstones, and floods! Such a huge unexpectation really since it was bright and sunny the whole morning yesterday and today. Apparently the roof of the Elizabeth Jolley lecture theatre came crumbling. That's why one part of the lecture theatre is off limits :/
We were actually in Carousel when all these happened. Was in the middle of watching Alice in Wonderland 3D blerh. At first the fire alarm went off and everyone was like ugh cause it was so loud and annoying and no one bothered to come in and turn it off. The guy was asking us to just resume with the movie. Few minutes later, the lights came on and we were told to evacuate. So yeah, i'm still not done with the movie! Couldn't be bothered to sit through that front part again in the cinema though yeesh.
The whole Carousel was literally told to evacuate and we were panicking on how to get home since we were unsure whether there would be any buses running at that time. Apparently the city was flooding all the way up till just above the knee cap. Scary.
And after that crazy weather, the sight of this was the highlight of everyone's day.
Honestly, if we didn't bump into Alex, i think we would've been so stuck. There were no more 34 buses so we had no idea how to get back. Just found out on that day that we can actually take the 72 bus too. Haha thanks Alex! And pardon the very random behavior at the Curtin bus stop :P
Hahahaha look how drenched i am. And my fav red flats were drenched and dirty too boo :((
